Le Rouge is an refreshing new concept created by owners Ray Jafari and general manager Eddie Ballouchy. Le Rouge has the perfect balance of the downtown nightlife and the clean new outlook of a modern French bistro. While known for its lounge appeal, Le Rouge has a invigorating take on old classic French cuisine, and its prices are pour pas cher (or inexpensive for you non-French majors). Dining at Le Rouge is an experience not to be missed. Le Rouge, or “The Red”, firmly believes in its name, from soothing crimson light fixtures to its cherry colored walls. And this ambiance is only an appetizer to the delectable dining menu presented by well known Denver Chef Eric Roeder. From the light and airy strawberry salad with haystack goat cheese and toasted almonds to the signature Duck burger served with frites, one’s taste buds will not be disappointed. Eric Roeder would not have it any other way. In association with the dining, Le Rouge seems to be the new hotspot for corporate happy hour. With a happy hour that runs later then the majority of its competitors (until 8 pm on weekdays) and provides sinfully delicious cocktails (try the ménage a trios), who wouldn’t want to catch a drink with coworkers? It seems that Le Rouge found a concept that works with downtown – get people in for the food, and they will stay for the drinks. No wonder there is a line every weekend… and it seems well worth the wait. Operating hours are from 4 pm to 1:30 am Monday through Friday and from 6 pm to 1:30 am on Saturday and Sunday.
